Trials for digital rupee in India may begin by December: RBI Governor
The RBI may launch its first digital currency trial programmes by December, Governor Shaktikanta Das told CNBC in an interview. "We're being extremely careful about it because it's completely a new product, not just for RBI, but globally," Das said. RBI is examining various aspects including the digital currency's security, impact on India's financial sector and monetary policy, he added.
