Govt brings retail, wholesale trades under MSME, to benefit 2.5 cr traders
The government has revised guidelines for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) to include retail and wholesale trades under the category, making the entities eligible for priority sector lending under RBI guidelines. The move will benefit 2.5 crore wholesale and retail traders, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said. Retail and wholesale trades were removed from the MSME category in 2017.
