Ex-IL&FS Chairman, arrested in alleged ₹200-cr fraud case, denied bail
A special court has denied bail to Ravi Parthasarathy, former Chairman of the Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services (IL&FS). He was arrested by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Tamil Nadu police for allegedly defrauding investors to the tune of ₹200 crore. The EOW had referred to Parthasarathy as the "kingpin and mastermind of the several crore" IL&FS scam.
